Kaleji Curry
Most of the peoples are fond of organ meat like Liver (Kalegi), Kidney (Gurda), Lungs (Phephrha) and Brain (Bheja) . This recipe is for those who love to eat Kaleji.Ingredients:
- Kaleji (Beef/Mutton) , cubes, 1 kg
- Oil one cup
- Onion chopped 2-3 nos.
- Ginger crushed 2 inch long piece
- Garlic crushed one medium pod
- Tomatoes chopped 2-3 nos.
- Yoghurt 1/2 cup
- Green Chillies chopped 8-10 nos.
- Fresh Coriander leaves a few for garnish
- Spices: Salt to taste, Red Chilli powder to taste, Red Chilli Cutter 1 teaspoon, Haldi 1 teaspoon, Garam Masala powder 1 teaspoon, Coriander powder 1/2 teaspoon
Procedure:
- Fry onion in oil
- Then add Kaleji (Liver) , ginger, garlic, tomatoes, yoghurt, green chillies and spices.
- Fry for 5-10 minutes.
- Now add 2 glass water and cook on medium flame till Kaleji is tender and little gravy remain.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
- Delicious Kaleji curry is ready.
- Serve with Naan/Roti
