Mayonnaise is a stable emulsion of egg yolk and oil with vinegar or lemon juice. Mayonnaise is originated from Spain. Now it is used world wide in salad dressing. Its recipe is simple and have many variations. In Pakistan Young Food's brand is more popular than imported brand. Because it is cheap as compare with Imported brands. You can prepare mayonnaise in your kitchen within 30 minutes by using my following recipe.

- Egg yolks 2
- Oil 1 cup
- Mustard powder 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt 1/4 teaspoon
- Black pepper 1/2 teaspoon
- Vinegar 1 teaspoon
- Add mustard powder, salt, black pepper to the egg yolk taken in a bowl. Mix well.
- Now start adding oil in small portions to this mixture and beating with an electric beater/mixer. 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of oil to be added initially then increase the quantity. Continue adding oil and blending till all oil is absorbed and a creamy texture of Mayonnaise in obtained.
- Now Your homemade mayonnaise is ready, use as needed in dressing , in salads.
- Crushed Garlic can be used to have Garlic Mayonnaise
- Curry powder can be added to have a curry like flavour.
