Phool Gobhi Ka Bhurta (Mashed Cauliflower)
Phool Gobhi Ka Bhurta is a delicious Vegetarian dish.Ingredients:
- Cauliflower 1 kg
- Peas 1/2 cup
- Oil 1 cup
- Onion chopped 1
- Tomatoes chopped 2
- Garlic crushed 6 cloves
- Ginger crushed 2 inch piece
- Lemon juice 1 tablespoon
- Green Chillies chopped 3
- Fresh Coriander leaves for garnish
- Salt to taste
- Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon
- Haldi 1 teaspoon
- Mustard whole 1 teaspoon
- Kalaunji whole 1 teaspoon
- Fennel whole 1 teaspoon
- Cumin whole 1 teaspoon
- Garam Masala 1 teaspoon
Procedure:
- Saute onion in oil for few minutes.
- Add garlic, ginger ,tomatoes and spices and fry for 5 minutes.
- Now add Cauliflower and peas and cook on medium flame till tender.
- Mash with the help of masher or with spoon till smooth and oil separates out.
- Sprinkle lemon juice and fresh coriander leaves, then simmer for 5 minutes.
- Serve hot with Butter slices at top. It goes well with Roti.
